Externship in EFT for Couples

30 hours of training in EFT

March 9th to 12th, 2011

Columbia, Maryland

Between Washington and Baltimore

Gail Palmer RMFT, Douglas Tilley LCSW-C, and Kathryn Rheem, LMFT are presenting this Externship in EFT. The Externship is the first level of training for learning EFT and for becoming a Certified EFT Therapist.  The course teaches mental health professionals the basic clinical skills necessary to become competent as an EFT couples therapist.  The training includes readings, lectures, discussions, videotape examples, and experiential skills practice.   Two live couple sessions are scheduled for each Externship.  See more about EFT on the home page. Participants will receive a training manual developed for this course.

It is suggested that participants read: The Practice of Emotionally Focused Couple Therapy: Creating Connection (Johnson, 2004) and Becoming an Emotionally Focused Couple Therapist: The Workbook (Johnson et al., 2005). Both books are published by Routledge: Taylor and Francis Group, www.taylorandfrancisgroup.com.
